“We are honored to have been involved with this project and to have been recognized for the outstanding work of the design and construction team. Our primary goal is always to work collaboratively with our design side partners to deliver a product that exceeds the expectations of the client. We take great satisfaction in knowing that we accomplished that goal on this project. It is also very rewarding to be honored by our Industry peers as well. We thank the HB&RACC for recognizing this special project with a 2018 BRICC Award.” Said Corey Heaslip, Project Executive at Delphi Construction.
The panel of judges considered a host of criteria including: quality of craftsmanship, architectural aesthetic, innovation in design and use of materials, environmental considerations, innovation in construction techniques and construction challenges overcome. The award was presented at The BRICC Awards Banquet held at the Wequassett Resort, Harwich on November 8, 2018.
The 6.3 million dollar custom home project consisted of the design and new construction of an 9,000 square foot main house and 1,500 square foot guest house overlooking the ocean bay in Marstons Mills, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.
Renowned architect Doreve Nicholaeff’s use of both steel and wood in the building’s structure facilitated the dramatic and complex geometries inherent in the strikingly original design as well as carrying the expansive open spaces within the home. Situated on 3.9 oceanfront acres with a dramatic slope to the sea, the main house features 4 bedrooms and 9 baths while the guest house has 2 bedrooms and 3 baths with magnificent ocean views. Among the most impressive features of the design are a 1-1/2 story stone fireplace in the great room along with walnut beams incorporated into the radius of the exterior wall.
