MASHPEE MA—July 2, 2018- Multi-Market Construction Management Firm, Delphi Construction together with police department personnel, government officials, members of the project planning committee and project stakeholders celebrated the official groundbreaking of the new Dartmouth Police Station, a $9m plus new construction project on Tucker Road in Dartmouth MA.
The 20,000 square foot plus main facility and accompanying outbuilding will serve as the new headquarters for the Dartmouth Police Department. The facility will house office space for detectives and associated personnel plus a new dispatch center and training and operations facilities to support the work of the department. An onsite fuel depot and outbuilding garage will also be constructed as part of the project approved by the town last year.

The facility was designed by The Carell Group, Inc. of Hopkinton, Ma. The Owner’s Project Manager is Pomroy Associates of East Bridgewater, Civil Engineering was provided by Places Associates, Inc. Delphi will manage all aspects of construction out of their Mashpee Massachusetts offices.
The ceremonial groundbreaking took place on June 26. It began with remarks from members of the project building committee and government representatives along with Police Chief Brian P. Levesque and retired Chief Robert W. Szala. Several officers from the Police department were on hand and participated in the ceremonial dirt moving together with the other key stakeholders in the project. The ceremony closed with photo opportunities, coffee and socializing.
Construction is expected to be completed by next summer.
